Unfortunately, my partner Jeffrey Rediger, MD, MDiv was unable to deliver his TEDx talk last week due to a tech outage disrupting flights. Since the topic of our next book together is an idea worth spreading, I wanted to share the script of his TEDx talk here. If you’re interested in Jeff Rediger’s book CURED or his newsletter, visit him here. We’re also hosting a weekend Zoom workshop on Healing Attachment Wounds In Relationships, as well as a live retreat in Mill Valley, CA, Transitions & Transformation. The TEDx talk explores the idea of medical and psychiatric symptoms being more of a relational problem than a biological one. Drawing from personal experiences, Jeff uncovers the deeper story behind patients’ symptoms and the impact of oppressive relationships. By understanding the role of oppressive relationships in medical and psychiatric illnesses, we can offer better support and treatment to patients.
