Prior to his gold medal win, Holloway had already won three world championships, but the Olympic gold was the cherry on top. His triumphant journey to the top spot in Paris was flawless. Holloway dominated his heats and finals with precision, showcasing his talent and skills.

While he makes hurdling look effortless, it requires meticulous preparation beyond just track training. Here’s how Holloway spends his time off the track.

1. Prioritizing Self-Care

“Self-care is crucial, and personal hygiene is essential to me,” says Holloway, the inaugural ambassador for P&G brands at the 2024 Olympics. “I use GilletteLabs razors for a clean shave, maintaining my best look on and off the track or during business meetings.”

He also practices mindfulness to keep his mental game strong and values reflecting on his accomplishments.

2. Recreational Golfing

When not training, you’ll find Holloway on the golf course. Although he admits he’s not the best at it, golfing helps him focus on details and strategize, influencing his track performance.

He utilizes golf to refine his focus and translate strategies to his hurdling techniques.

“I really like to just sit back and relax whenever I’m not on the track. The mind is always running and racing, no pun intended, but I think it’s just something cool when you’re able to be bored in your own thoughts and actually be thankful for what you have accomplished.” – Grant Holloway

3. Staying Fresh

As a professional athlete, freshness is a top priority for Holloway. He travels with Febreze for a fresh room environment and uses Tide products to stay clean and refreshed while on the go.

He emphasizes the importance of smelling good and feeling fresh to perform at his best.

You can watch Grant Holloway’s races on Peacock and NBCOlympics.com, as NBCUniversal is the official U.S. broadcaster for the Paris 2024 Olympic and Paralympic Games.
