How Gabby Thomas Stays Happy, Healthy and Grounded

American sprinter Gabby Thomas returned from the 2024 Paris Olympics as the most decorated member of Team USA Track & Field, winning gold in the women’s 200-meter event and the 4×100-meter and 4×400-meter relays. Thomas is only the fifth woman in track and field history to win three gold medals in the same Olympics, following in the footsteps of Allyson Felix.

Beyond her athletic achievements, Thomas holds degrees in neurobiology and public health and volunteers at a health care clinic for the uninsured in Austin, Texas. She believes in maintaining a balance between her track career and personal life, emphasizing the importance of holistic growth. Thomas plans to train for the 2028 Olympics in Los Angeles.

To stay grounded, Thomas prioritizes her morning routine, enjoys outdoor activities in her hometown, expresses herself through jewelry while competing, and focuses on recovery with an emphasis on sleep and innovative treatments like hyperbaric chambers. She also emphasizes giving back through her work at the health care clinic.
