If you’ve struggled with different methods of cooking salmon in the oven, try pan-frying it in butter in a nonstick skillet. It’s simple, stress-free, and guarantees that perfect lacquered color every time. Follow the easy steps detailed below to cook the salmon to medium-rare perfection:

Basic how-to:

– Add 2 tablespoons of unsalted butter to a nonstick skillet over medium-high heat.

– Place skin-on salmon fillet, flesh-side down and fry until cooked about a third of the way up the side.

– Flip the filet and cook for another 2 to 3 minutes until the top of the flesh feels slightly firm.
