` Hello, I’m Ruth Sukoup from Thinlicious.com. We cover a range of topics, from weight loss science to practical health tips for busy individuals. In this post, we’ll hear from Anna Rae, a fascia expert and founder of GST Body. She’ll discuss how changing your approach to movement can transform your health. Let’s jump in!
`
` Ruth: Anna, thank you for joining us. Could you share a bit about yourself, your journey, and how you became a fascia expert?
`
` Anna: Sure, I started my health and wellness company focusing on fascia after experiencing debilitating pain and various symptoms in my early adulthood. Despite looking healthy on the outside, I felt like an 80-year-old with constant aches, digestive issues, and respiratory problems. Traditional medical tests yielded no answers. Through years of study and experimentation, I discovered that my symptoms were linked to fascia, a connective tissue system. This realization led me to develop techniques to manage and alleviate my symptoms. I found that traditional movement practices often damage our fascia, impacting our overall health. Fascia plays a crucial role in our physiology, affecting everything from muscles to organs.
`
` Ruth: Wow, that’s incredible. How long did it take you to find relief and have you been able to maintain it?
`
` Anna: It was a 25-year journey of trial and error to address my fascia-related issues. By testing techniques on myself and others, I developed methods to alleviate symptoms and improve overall health. While it may not take as long for others, the lack of available information and my genetic predispositions prolonged my journey. Movement practices, like junk food for the fascia, can have significant impacts on our well-being. Understanding how to care for our fascia can lead to lasting improvements in our health.
`
` Ruth: Thank you for sharing your inspiring story, Anna. Your expertise in fascia is truly groundbreaking.
