Are you ready for the weekend? I’m heading to the North Fork for some quality time with friends, looking forward to enjoying kettle chips at sunset, and then back for my boys’ sports games on Sunday morning. Hope you have a relaxing weekend filled with gentle self-care. Here are some interesting reads from around the web:

Laughed at my son’s preschool graduation speech: “Today I stand before you unsure of what’s happening. You’re all here, taking videos, some are crying, telling us you’re proud of us. In my heart, I know it likely means I’ll get ice cream.”

Getting summer style inspiration from a classic movie.

This documentary on the 1980s “Brat Pack” looks intriguing. (Featuring Emilio Estevez, Rob Lowe, Molly Ringwald, Charlie Sheen, Demi Moore…)

Reflecting on the advice Michelle Obama’s mom gave her children upon her passing: “Don’t worry about whether anyone else likes you. Come home. We’ll always like you here.”

Excited for Sally Rooney’s upcoming book!

Always down for some potato salad (or any potato dish).

Enjoy a good laugh.

Today on Big Salad, Peyton Dix shares the song to play for falling in love, her favorite shorts, the best movie ever made, and a surprising item. She had us cracking up 18 times. Read the full issue here. (paywall)
