E-waste poses a significant challenge that needs to be addressed. As high school students, we launched Ecoolair, a solar-powered fan project, to combat e-waste and provide affordable cooling solutions. CBS News reported that over 90% of discarded solar panels end up in landfills, with an estimated 3,000 football fields worth of panels expected by 2030. In the US alone, we generate 6.9 million tons of e-waste annually, a number that rises to 81.6 million tons globally. Meanwhile, 23 million US residents grapple with intense heat and high energy costs. Our mission is to bridge the gap between accessibility and affordability in cooling comfort, particularly for low-income households. By recycling discarded solar panels and PC fans, we reduce environmental impact and provide life-saving solutions. We invite individuals and organizations to donate materials to support our cause. Together, we can make a difference and contribute to a sustainable future. Contact us at ecoolair24@gmail.com to get involved. Thank you for your support!
