5 Simple Earth Day Crafts Your Kids Will Love

Every year on April 22, people around the world come together to celebrate Earth Day, a special occasion to raise awareness about our impact on the planet. It is important to educate children about the environment and how they can help protect it. Teaching kids about Earth Day can be fun with these five simple crafts that you can do with your children.

1. Paper Plate Earth Craft:
Get some paper plates, blue and green paints, crayons, or markers to create a mini Earth. Encourage children to recreate the Earth by painting shapes that resemble land and water.

2. Tissue Paper “Stained Glass” Earth Day Craft:
For a more colorful option, try this tissue paper “stained glass” Earth craft. Tear blue and green tissue paper, arrange them on clear contact paper, and seal it with another layer to create a beautiful Earth artwork.

3. Paper Mache Earth Day Craft:
Make a paper mache Earth globe using a round balloon, newspaper strips, DIY paper mache paste, and paint. Let the kids have fun creating their own version of the planet Earth.

4. Coffee Filter Earth Day Craft:
Use a coffee filter, blue and green food coloring, and a picture of Earth to let kids create a unique Earth design. This simple craft is easy and fun for children of all ages.

5. Mosaic Earth Day Craft:
Cut out squares of construction paper in various colors and let kids create a mosaic Earth on a cardboard circle. This creative activity encourages children to express their artistic talents while learning about Earth conservation.
