Now that October is here, we’re all going to start spending more time at home. With shorter days and colder weather, having a clean and tidy space is more important than ever. Here are some tips to help you clean those pesky areas around your home that you may have overlooked.

1. Hairbrushes: Clean your hairbrushes by soaking them in a mixture of warm water, shampoo, and baking soda.
2. Make-up Brushes: Gently clean your makeup brushes with a mixture of dish soap and olive oil.
3. Bathroom Tiles: Use a wax candle to keep your bathroom tiles looking clean and mildew-free.
4. Hard Water Deposits: Remove hard water deposits with distilled white vinegar and a sponge.
5. Toaster: Clean your toaster by scrubbing the coils with a wet toothbrush and using a cream of tartar paste for stainless steel.
6. Cast Iron Skillet: Scrub your skillet with salt and a potato to clean it naturally.
7. Pot and Pan Bottoms: Remove burn marks from pan bottoms with baking soda and a non-scratch sponge.
8. Mattress: Vacuum your mattress regularly and deodorize it with baking soda.
9. Mirrors: Clean mirrors with rubbing alcohol for goopy marks and a vinegar-water solution for streak-free cleaning.
10. Odd-shaped Bottles or Vases: Use magnets to clean hard-to-reach areas in bottles or vases.
11. Ceiling Fan: Use an old pillowcase to easily clean the dust off your ceiling fan blades.
12. Car Upholstery: Mix club soda, dish soap, and white vinegar to remove stains from car seats and use a shop vac or steam cleaner to rinse them out.

These tips will help you maintain a nice, clean home even in the areas you didn’t know you could clean! Let us know if you have any other tips in the comments below.
